Awareness of environmental issues is a necessity for achieving sustainability in countries. A lack of awareness is a major obstacle to countries' adaptation to climate change. It is essential to raise awareness of climate change at the local level because the effects of climate change intensify the amount and extent of disasters in this disaster-prone country.

Nowadays, social media has massive power to change things. Creating shareable content at a higher scale makes individuals more likely to share something. On Facebook, 75% of all posted content includes an image. Images are also Facebook's most shared content. Instagram allows picture sharing as well. One of the ways to raise awareness can be through informative images with information about environmental issues. Therefore, students like me can use social media platforms to disseminate information regarding these environmental issues to raise awareness. Another way for students to practice awareness-raising is to create posters about an issue and how individuals can help. Overall, with the ever more urgent global fight against climate change, education is the most important component. Awareness of this phenomenon enables young people to understand and recognize the impacts of climate change, encourages them to alter their behavior and helps them adapt to what is already a global urgent matter.

An indicator of how people respond to the negative impacts on their surroundings is the environmental awareness of individual people. Improvements in the level of awareness of climate change can lead to better results in adaptation. That is why society's environmental awareness takes a huge part in the future of the Earth.
